I am proud to have been part of the founding team of London Food Coop, a community-owned grocery store in my neighborhood. Our store began operation in June 2014 and has been operating at a healthy profit margin ever since. I first learned about London Food Coop when I stumbled upon its first shop on the corner of Dagenham Road and Ridley Road. I had seen its logo and heard about its success in other parts of London and wanted to take part in creating a sustainable food system in my own neighborhood.
