Opportunity Insights is an independent research center founded in 2011. It has been at the forefront of social mobility research since its founding, focusing on understanding how people’s circumstances in childhood and early adulthood can shape the opportunities and trajectories of individuals. I have been a leading voice on this topic, having co-written several reports, including our recent report on the US black-white wage gap.
